Problems with the INDIA HATE LAB data:
India Hate Lab collects data from the social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc). There are many instances when a fake news spread by miscreant entities. There is no mechanism or steps to filters/delete such incidents. Many users share identical news in social media platforms. There may be chances of duplicity of data. Most of these incidents lack rational facts and based on perception.
Biased representation: The IHL team consists of a single journalist, Aarushi, who may have a personal perspective or agenda that could influence the selection and interpretation of data.
