Stoke White is a Law Firm, claims to be experts in Immigration, Human Rights and International Criminal Law. But Stoke White is not all that it seems. Digging deeper into its record, we found several damning information about it, which would clearly expose their hatred towards India and their role in several disinformation campaigns against India.
A Dubious Company:
1. Frequent name changes: The Entity applied for name change several times since its inception in May16, 2016.

2. Frequent changes in Principal activity: Entity in its filing has mentioned different description of its activities and area of operations, including sale of cars, motor vehicles, management consultancy etc.
Key Person behind Stoke White Report:
Hakan Camuz:
Director and founder of the company Stoke white, a Turkish-origin having UK citizenship. Hakan seems to have close connection with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as he has also headed another Turkey-backed organization Turken Foundation UK since its formation in 2015 until 2019. Parent organization of Turken foundation is “TURGEV” (established in 1996 by present Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan).
Hakan Camuz had also represented Erdogan’s son Bilal Erdogan in a case against CNBC, and holds close relationship with Erdogan family.
Stoke White Investigations:
Stoke White Investigations (SWI-unit) is an “independent investigative unit” based within the law firm established in 2021. They claim that there was a need to form a unit dedicated to investigations covering public interest matters and support the legal team for its complex international law cases.
Since its inception the “SWI” has published two anti-India articles:

People behind the Report:
1. Khalil Dewan:
Head of Investigations at SWI-unit, since June 2021. Before joining Stoke White, he worked at TRT World Research Centre from Jan2019 to Dec2019. He also worked as a Researcher at Middle East Monitor (2017-18), Dewan is specialized in OSINT, HUMINT, and SOCMINT investigations. Khalil has close connections with Nasir Qadri (founder Legal forum for Kashmir). In his first report Khalil has published testimony of Nasir describing “atrocities” in Kashmir.
2. Nasir Qadri:
Nasir Qadri is Founder and executive director of Legal Forum for Kashmir (LFK), earlier “Legal Forum for Oppressed Voices of Kashmir (LFOVK)”.
Nasir Qadri claims his address to be
E-16, Abu Bakar Colony, NH1 Bemina Srinagar, now resides permanently and operates from Pakistan. Nasir has global connections and has visited Turkey frequently. Some of the snapshots are attached below:
a. Nasir at international conference from May 19-22, 2022, at Konya, Turkey on the subject, “Violations of the human rights in the Islamic world". The conference was co-sponsored by Istanbul Bar Association, Ankara Bar Association, Ankara -based HUDER Legal Research Association. In picture he could be seen sharing dais with Abdul Rashid Turabi (Jamaat-e-Islami,Pakistan) , Ghulam Nabi Fai (World Kashmir Awareness Forum) , Waleed Rasool (International Islamic University Islamabad).
b. Qadri along with Mubeen Shah (President, Istanbul-based ‘Kashmir House’), Ghulam Nabi Fai (World Kashmir Awareness Forum) visited the headquarters of ‘Economic and Social Research Center’ (ESAM) at Ankara, Turkey in Feb, 2022. Syrus Qazi, (Pakistani Ambassador to Turkey) also participated in the meeting.
c. Qadri seems to have close connections with Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan and DG-ISPR as well.
Legal Forum for Kashmir:
Earlier known as “Legal Forum for Oppressed Voices of Kashmir (LFOVK)", an entity based in Pakistan, founded by Nasir Qadri. After the website https://lfovk.com/ getting banned in India, it is being run under new domain https://lfkashmir.com/ .
Nasir Qadri under banner of Legal forum for Kashmir has published two reports in co-ordination with Stoke White and widely circulated through his connections in Turkey and Pakistan. Khalil Dewan from Stoke White worked with LFK to curate the report. Handles of @QadriNasir and @LFKashmir spearheaded a Twitter trend along with the Stoke Whites on the “war crimes” in Kashmir after the report got published. LFK initiated the Twitter trend #Arrestindianarmychief in London, Islamabad, New Delhi, and Istanbul.
The report was quoted several times by Stoke White, LFKashmir, NasirQadri, TRTworld among others.
Observations of tweets and retweets reveals that the tweets are initiated by Stoke white, which TRT World quotes, and LFKashmir then endorses it. Imperative to note here that TRT was indulged and involved with Stoke White and Legal forum for Kashmir in spearheading the campaign.

Connections of LFK:
1. Jamaat-e-Islami: Legal for Kashmir have close association with Institute of Policy studies, Islamabad whose chairman is Khurshid Ahmad (party member of Jamaat-e-Islami). President of LFK, Qadri also had several meetings and holds close connections with Abdul Rashid Turabi (politician,Jamaat-e-Islami).
2. Pakistan Government and ISPR: LFK is having close association with Islamabad institute of conflict resolution (IICR) which is a partner organization of Parliamentary special committee on Kashmir, Pakistan.
Interestingly, one of the partner organization of IICR is World Kashmir Freedom movement (WKFM). WKFM was established by Muhammad Ayyub Thakur. Thakur was the founder of charity organization called 'Mercy Universal'. In 2011, according to a report by The Telegraph, It was a front group for ISI.
After investigation by the British Charity Commission, Scotland Yard and the FBI, it was stated that his organization had direct contacts with Hizbul Mujahedeen.
In 2001, Indian Government had booked him under Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act for providing financing & logistical support to terrorists.
His son Muzammil Ayub Thakur is an active Kashmiri separatist residing in London. Muzammil regularly features on TRT World as a Kashmir expert and has endorsed LFK through TRT as well.

2. Was there anyone from Stoke White contacted Kamran yousuf (Kashmiri Indian Journalist)? As all the images in articles are credited to Kamran (Including the cover page of 2nd article).
3. A meeting was held at headquarters of ‘Economic and Social Research Center’ (ESAM) at Ankara, Turkey in Feb, 2022.
In the pretext of the meeting resolutions were made by Mubeen Shah (Founder-Kashmir House, Turkey) explaining the purpose of establishing ‘Kashmir House’ in and described the main components of KASHMIR HOUSE as follows:
Advocacy/political engagements: Under this, the Kashmir House will engage with Turkish government, political parties, civil society, think tanks, universities, besides diaspora groups based in Istanbul as well as worldwide. It will be an open platform for all activists’ groups all over the world to engage and make a common program of right to self-determination.
Institute of Kashmir Studies: Under the Kashmir House, this group intends to run a research center under the banner of ‘Institute of Kashmir Studies, Istanbul’ to produce content with regard to struggle of Kashmiris in different languages. This literature will be produced and shared with every institution and individuals.
Kashmir Aid: After generating financial resources, this group intends to launch a humanitarian aid group – Kashmir Aid – to help different communities in special needs inside territories of influence under Turkey.
Kashmir Mediascape : The Kashmir House intends to launch news/views/comment website and magazine/newspaper/newsletter regarding Kashmir from Istanbul.
Business Model to support operations of the Kashmir House: Kashmir House may open a small-scale business organization to generate funds to support the operations of the Kashmir House. This one is already registered while as the NGO registration is under process.
Conclusion:
It seems to be a well-planned execution by multiple entities operating from Pakistan and Turkey. Reports were published by a shadow entity (Stoke White) in London operated from Turkey, which was pursued by Pakistan based anti-Indian organization Legal for Kashmir and a campaign on social media was initiated. The campaign is a joint venture of Kashmir separatists operating from Turkey, London and Pakistan.
